Terms of service

Last updated 27 September 2026

The short version: you own your documents, you pay for editors and never for readers, you can take everything with you whenever you like, and we don’t sell, advertise with or train AI on your content. The details follow.

1. This agreement

These terms are an agreement between [Pagyra LLC] (“Pagyra”, “we”, “us”) and the organisation or person who creates a Pagyra workspace (“you”, the “customer”). They cover your use of the Pagyra service at app.pagyra.com and this website.

If you accept these terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it. People you invite to your workspace, and people who open a document you share, use Pagyra under your workspace and must follow the acceptable use rules in section 8.

2. The service

Pagyra is a hosted, collaborative document editor. We run it for you: you never install, operate or upgrade anything. A workspace holds your documents, folders, comments and images, and the people you invite to it.

We may improve and change Pagyra over time. We will not remove a core feature you pay for without telling you in advance.

3. Accounts

Each person has one account, tied to one email address, and may belong to several workspaces. You must give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without permission.

You must be at least [16] years old to create an account. Pagyra is built for work and is not directed at children.

Each workspace has at least one admin. Admins invite people, set their role (admin, editor or viewer), manage billing and decide whether documents may be shared by link. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including the actions of the people you invite.

4. Plans and payment

Pagyra has a Free plan for one person who edits, with up to 15 documents, 2 folders and 5 open tasks, with no card and no time limit, and three paid plans billed per editor: Basic, Pro and Enterprise, at $6, $10 and $22 per editor per month when billed monthly, or $5, $8 and $18 per editor per month when billed yearly. Enterprise is billed for at least 5 seats. Prices exclude taxes, which are added where required. Current prices are always on pagyra.com/pricing.

Enterprise agreements. An Enterprise customer may also agree its price, billing, allowances and other terms with us in a separate order form or agreement, which takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.

Who is billed. Members with the admin or editor role are billed. Viewers, commenters and people who open a share link are never billed. A new editor is billed straight away, for the rest of the billing period. Removing an editor, or making them a viewer, lowers the bill from the next billing date, with no credit for the current period.

Starting out. A new workspace can start on Free, with no card needed, or on a paid plan chosen when it is created. An admin can choose a paid plan at any time. Nothing on Free is ever locked or deleted: it has fewer features and smaller limits, and everything already in the workspace stays.

Payment. Subscriptions are paid by card through our payment provider, Stripe, or on Enterprise by invoice, in advance for each month or year, and renew automatically until cancelled. Admins can view invoices, change the card and cancel at any time.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, admins are emailed and have 14 days to fix it; nothing changes during that time. If it stays unpaid, the workspace moves to Free. Nothing is locked or deleted, share links keep working and export always works. Paying again brings the plan back straight away.

Price changes. We will give admins at least [30] days’ notice by email before a price change takes effect. It applies from your next billing period.

Refunds. [Payments are not refundable, except where the law requires it. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the month or year you paid for. If we end this agreement without cause, or you object to a new subprocessor as described in our data processing agreement, we refund any fees paid in advance for the unused period].

5. Your content

You own your content. Everything you and your workspace create or upload (documents, comments, images and their history) belongs to you. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run Pagyra for you, including backups, search and showing it to the people you choose to share it with.

We do not:

  • sell your content or use it for advertising;
  • use your content to train AI models;

You are responsible for your content, and for having the rights to what you upload.

6. Sharing by link

When link sharing is allowed in your workspace, people with share rights can create links that let anyone with the link read a document without an account. On Pro and Enterprise, links can also let readers comment, and can have an expiry date and a password. Links never grant editing, and can be turned off at any time. An admin can switch link sharing off for the whole workspace at once.

Anyone who has a link can open it, so choose carefully what you share and with whom. We record each visit through a share link in your workspace’s audit log, as described in our privacy policy. On Enterprise, admins can view and export that log.

7. AI features

Gyra, the AI assistant, is available on every plan. It is on in every workspace, and an admin can switch it off, or back on, at any time. When it is on and someone uses it, the relevant document content is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce a response, as listed on our subprocessors page.

AI output can be wrong. Review it before relying on it; you are responsible for how you use it. Each workspace has a daily allowance that depends on its plan and number of editors; when it is reached, Gyra pauses until the next day. There is no extra charge.

8. Acceptable use

You and the people in your workspace must not use Pagyra to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone else’s rights;
  • store or share content that is unlawful, abusive, or harassing;
  • distribute malware, spam or phishing;
  • try to access another workspace’s data, or probe, scan or test Pagyra’s security without our written permission (see Contact for how to report a vulnerability);
  • overload or disrupt the service, or get around its limits, including the AI fair-use limit;
  • resell Pagyra or copy it to build a competing product.

If a workspace breaks these rules we may suspend it, the offending share links or comments. Unless the law or the risk to others prevents it, we will tell an admin first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

9. Availability and support

We aim for Pagyra to be available 99.9% of each month, and publish its status on a public status page. This is a target, not a guarantee. We may briefly interrupt the service for maintenance; releases are designed not to lose edits.

We back up continuously, with point-in-time recovery for 7 days and daily snapshots kept for 30 days, and we rehearse restoring them. Support is by email at support@pagyra.com.

10. Cancelling, exporting and deleting

You can cancel your subscription at any time. It stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, after which the workspace moves to Free.

An admin can export the whole workspace in open formats at any time, on any plan, and after a subscription has ended.

An admin can also delete the workspace. Deletion can be undone for 30 days; after that the content is permanently deleted, and it is removed from our backups within a further 30 days, 60 days in all.

We may end this agreement if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever stop offering Pagyra, we will give at least [90] days’ notice so you can export everything.

11. Warranties and liability

We provide Pagyra with reasonable skill and care. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, Pagyra is provided “as is”, without other warranties.

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data beyond our backup commitments, and each party’s total liability under this agreement is limited to [the fees you paid Pagyra in the 12 months before the claim]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

[You will defend Pagyra against claims by others arising from content you upload or from breaking the acceptable use rules. Pagyra will defend you against claims by others that the service, as we provide it, infringes their intellectual property. Each party pays any damages finally awarded against the other on such a claim, as long as it is told promptly and allowed to control the defence].

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change we will email admins at least [30] days before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the change, you may cancel before it applies and export your content.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Wyoming], United States, and disputes will be heard in [the state and federal courts located in Wyoming], unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
