Write, collaborate, share, keep.
What a team’s documents need, done carefully, on a clean page. And an assistant, if you want one.
Write
Open it and start typing.
Open a document and you are on a clean page with a blinking cursor, in under 300 milliseconds. The formatting is the formatting you already know.
Familiar formatting
Headings, lists, checklists, quotes, links, and code blocks with syntax highlighting.
Formatting as you type
Type ## for a heading, - for a list or > for a quote. Press / for the everyday blocks, and See more for the rest.
A toolbar only when you want it
Select text for a small toolbar, with nine colours and four sizes. No ribbon across the page.
Tables that add up
Tables with typed columns, colours and a total at the foot of a column, and formulas for numbers, logic, text, dates and money, some reading the whole column: a share of the total, a rank, a running total. With Gyra on, describe a formula and Gyra writes it.
Pictures, videos and files
Paste or drop pictures in, then drag a corner to resize. On Basic and up, add videos, audio and files up to 100 MB each. Storage is 1 GB in all on Free, 5 GB per editor on Basic and 50 GB on Pro.
Calendars, emoji, page icons and cover photos
Put a month on the page, with events on its days and the page’s tasks on their due dates, search for any emoji, and give any page its own icon and a wide cover photo. On every plan.
Toggles and columns
Fold detail away under a line that opens, or set blocks side by side and drag them to the widths you want. Columns stack neatly on a phone.
Move anything
Point at a paragraph, table or picture and use the six dots to drag, duplicate or delete it.
Templates
Start from six templates, or save your own from any document on Basic and up.
YouTube videos
Paste a YouTube link on an empty line, or use /, to place a video. It plays through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, on share links too.
Voice recordings
Record a note from your microphone and play it back at up to double speed, on Pro.
A typeface for your team
Source Serif, IBM Plex Sans or IBM Plex Mono, chosen for your workspace.
Word count and focus
See the word count, set a word target, and hide everything but the page in focus mode.
Present as slides
Turn any document into slides at once: each main heading starts a slide, on any screen, phones included. Boards, galleries, columns and calendars keep their layout on the slides. Speaker notes and a presenter view on Pro.
Boards and galleries
A board shows cards you drag between lanes; a gallery is its own block, showing pages as cards with each one’s first picture on top. One of each on Free, three of each on Basic, as many as you like on Pro.
Forms
Put a form on any page and share its link. Ask for short or long answers, emails, phone numbers, dates, amounts, countries and files; ask people to pick from a list with a dropdown, or show the choices as buttons. Choose how it looks: light, dark, or matching each visitor’s device. Every answer lands in a table on the page. On Pro and Enterprise.
Collaborate
Several people, one page.
Everyone in the same document, at the same time, with nothing to merge afterwards.
Real-time editing
Changes appear as people type, even in the same paragraph.
Named cursors
See who is in the document and where. Every cursor carries a name.
Nothing lost
Edits are saved as you go and survive a dropped connection.
Comments and @mentions
Comment on highlighted text, mention a colleague, reply in a thread and resolve it.
Roles
Admins, editors and viewers. Viewers read and comment, and are never billed.
Several workspaces
One account, several workspaces, no signing out to switch.
Keep
Nothing gets lost.
Simple enough to find anything, and open enough that you can always take it with you.
Bring documents in
Upload from Notion, Google Docs, Word, PDF, Markdown, text or HTML. A Notion export keeps its shape: pages inside pages, callouts and toggles, and databases as tables, boards or galleries. Its HTML export keeps columns, covers and page icons too.
Folders, stars and filters
Folders one level deep, stars for what you return to, and filters by date, owner and folder.
Search
Search the full text of every document you can see, as you type.
Move between documents
The document panel sits beside any page: Starred, Folders and Pages, most recent first, with sub-pages under their page and View all for the rest. Moving between pages is instant, with no blank screen, or select several on Home and act on them at once.
Version history
See who changed what, and restore any version. 3 days on Free, 30 on Basic, unlimited on Pro.
Trash
Deleted documents wait in Trash until you restore them.
Export
Download a document as Word, PDF or Markdown, pictures included, or a table as CSV. Export the whole workspace at once. On every plan.
Backups
Continuous backups with point-in-time recovery, restores rehearsed every quarter.
Copies and moves
Make a copy, or move a document to another folder, from anywhere.
Gyra
An assistant that waits to be asked.
Gyra, Pagyra’s AI assistant, reads the document you are in and drafts changes right on the page for you to keep or undo, only when someone asks. It is on in every workspace, and an admin can turn it off at any time. When it is off, you will not see it anywhere.
Changes only what you select
Select a paragraph, a list, code or a table and ask. A table stays a table.
Builds the page, not just the words
Ask for a form, a board, a gallery, a calendar, a table that adds up or a checklist with due dates, and Gyra makes the real thing, ready to use. It can change the ones already there too. Pictures and files you add yourself.
Ask about any block
Use the six dots beside a block and choose Ask Gyra to work on all of it.
Translates whole documents
Ask for a document in another language and Gyra drafts it for you to check.
Says what it is doing
Reading, thinking, writing or drafting a change: you always know.
Remembers the conversation
Each person keeps their own chat with Gyra in each document.
On every plan
Free starts with a one-off allowance; paid plans get a daily one, the most on Enterprise. Admins can see how much is used.
Writing modes
Books, articles and documentation.
On Pro, turn a document into a book, an article or documentation. Newsroom tools come with Enterprise.
A book of chapters
Make this a book, and its chapters become pages inside it, listed in a binder with their words and synopses.
Writing goals
Words written today and the book’s total against your goals, with the last two weeks.
Story bible and scene board
Characters and places, each a page, with their names marked in the text, and a board for Act One, Two and Three.
Named drafts
Save a draft of the whole book under a name, kept for good in every page’s history.
Compile
The whole book as one Word or PDF file, as in Pagyra or in standard manuscript format.
Gyra as a reader
In a book, Gyra gives feedback on continuity, pacing, repetition and clarity, and only writes if you let it.
Article mode
Headline, standfirst, byline and dateline, a Story panel from Draft to Published, and Copy for CMS.
A news desk
The News desk template shows stories as cards, from Pitch to Published.
Newsroom, on Enterprise
A Legal step between Editing and Ready, and embargoed links that show nothing of the story until the embargo lifts.
Documentation
Callouts, numbered steps, tabs, a table of contents, variables you define once, and a Copy button on every code block.
Reviews and snippets
Review reminders and pages due for review, and snippets written once that every page shows up to date.
Docs as a site
Publish documentation as a site through one link, with a sidebar of every page in order.
Screenwriting
Write the script, too.
On Pro, type / and choose Screenplay, or start from the Screenplay template, to write in the industry layout without leaving Pagyra.
Keyboard flow
Enter moves on to what usually comes next, Tab changes the element, and names and places are suggested as you type.
Your cast
Pick characters from the cast, each with their own colour.
The Script panel
See every scene listed, each with a page estimate.
Fountain and Final Draft
Upload scripts to bring them in, and download as Fountain. Word and PDF keep the screenplay layout.
Gyra knows scripts
Ask Gyra to rewrite a selected scene and it stays in script form.
Production reports
On Enterprise: scene numbers, character and location reports, and a scene breakdown to download.
And the rest.
The parts you only notice when they are missing.
