Roles: admin, editor and viewer

What each role in a workspace can do.

Everyone in a workspace has one role. It sets the most they can do; a document can give someone less, never more.

Admin, Users: inviting someone with a role, and each member’s role, billing and which documents they can open, with one marked Guest
  • Admin: everything an editor can do, plus inviting and removing people, changing roles, workspace settings, exports, turning Gyra on or off and, on Enterprise, the audit log.
  • Editor: creates documents and folders, edits documents shared with them, shares documents and comments.
  • Viewer: reads the documents shared with them. Viewers cannot edit or create documents.

Admins and editors are the people a workspace pays for. Viewers are free.

Someone who can open only the documents chosen for them is marked Guest in Admin, Users. As a viewer a guest is free; as an editor, a billed seat.
